Short-term therapy

For individuals who are dealing with specific events or desire only shorter-term therapy, Ms. Keeler offers therapy that provides insight and improved functioning. Rather than just reacting, the client can gain (or regain) control over the situation as well as his or her behavior and responses.

Longer-term psychoanalytic psychotherapy

For clients who are aware of patterns that interfere with their achieving success in love or at work, who suffer from chronic depression or who may uncover underlying issues that need to be addressed, Ms. Keeler offers more intensive psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Carol specializes in long-term psychotherapy, but also provides short-term individual, marriage and family therapy, as required by the client needs

Prior to starting her own practice, Ms. Keeler provided supervisory, administrative and counseling services at a number of agencies, including:

  • Supervisor of counseling staff, Navy Family Service Center, Orlando, Florida                    

  • Director of Professional Services, Jewish Family Services, Maitland, FL and Miami, FL

  • Director of Professional Services, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Greater Miami, FL

Teaching experience

Ms. Keeler’s teaching experience includes serving as:

  • A Field Supervisor for Barry University

  • An adjunct faculty at University of Central Florida

  • A faculty member of the Masterson Institute of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, where she led a monthly seminar designed to equip therapists with the knowledge and skills required to diagnose and treat patients with borderline, narcissistic and schizoid personality disorders.

She also provides professionals with advanced training for CEUs, and supervises recently trained social workers seeking licensure and professional growth.
